To add a little something-something to my look I layered on gold necklaces and kept my hoops in. Jewelry by the water is definitely starting to grow on me.

Thanks to the square neck design, I was able to pull the shoulders down for a less conservative look at dinner. I paired this dress up with my metallic FitFlop Lulu sandals.

There are a handful of beaches a short drive from Charleston, including Sullivan’s Island, Kiawah Island, and Folly Beach. We popped over the bridge to Sullivan’s for the day . A city like Charleston is too good to just be sitting around! Because we had a lot of things to do, I packed a couple of different outfits for each full day of our Charleston trip. Be sure to reserve a horse and carriage tour by Palmetto Carriage Works and immerse yourself in scenic views and historical tales of Charleston. Pack a picnic or plan for a lovely light lunch at the Middleton Place Restaurant. I’m sporting the most adorable set you’ve ever seen.
Whether you’re headed to dinner by the water, drinks with friends, or a stroll along King Street, this outfit works for every occasion. I highly recommend packing a handful of mini dresses. I know it may seem a bit fancy but not only are most locals dressed like this, but it’s what kept me the coolest throughout our activities.
I couldn’t head to Mexican in anything other than a maxi dress. This was another Windsor find and one of my favorite pieces from them to date. This dress is cotton so it’s super breathable and although it’s a longer piece, the high leg slit helps elongate the legs and keep you cool. I’ve been getting lots of requests for airport-approved outfit ideas recently and I’ve got a couple from this past trip.
